Shamanda Burston is a distinguished leader in cinematherapy, mental health counseling, and addiction treatment. Currently a PhD candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University, she holds a Master’s degree from Gardner-Webb University. With over a decade of dedicated experience, Shamanda has made it her mission to help individuals of all ages navigate emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges in a variety of settings, including psychiatric facilities, day treatment programs, and prison systems.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Shamanda is a published author, executive producer, and screenwriter, using her creativity to enrich the mental health landscape. As a professor and motivational speaker, she inspires others to chase their passions and build resilience. Her impactful work has garnered national media recognition, with features in prominent outlets like FOX 46, RedBook Magazine, and ROLLING OUT LIVE.
